KanjiMaster ("The Way of Kanji") teaches Japanese kanji, vocabulary, and grammar through lessons, stories, and practice games. You can learn without signing in — your progress then stays on your device. Some optional features (progress backup across devices, friends) require signing in. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Anonymous device account (automatic): so device-level features such as bug reports work, the app silently creates an anonymous Firebase account and a random per-install device ID. These contain no name, email, or other personal details.
• If you sign in (optional — email, Apple, or Google): your account's user identifier, the email address of the account, and the display name you enter. This powers progress backup and the friends feature.
• Learning progress (signed in): lesson and review scores, spaced-repetition schedules, streaks, quest and in-app currency tallies, achievements, cosmetic choices, sentences you compose in practice (compose drafts), and the anonymous per-install device ID are synced to our servers so your progress is backed up and follows you across devices.
• Friends (signed in, optional): friends are added by friend code only. Your friends can see your chosen name, level, streak, and weekly training points. There is no messaging and no public leaderboard.
• Bug reports (optional, signed in or not): if you send a report from the app, we receive your note, the category you pick, and technical context (device model, OS version and screen information, app version, the screen you were on, recent error messages, and the device ID; plus your account email only if you are signed in). Reports are used only to find and fix problems.
• Purchases (optional): if you buy the Supporter Pack or omamori charms, we receive a record of which items your account or device owns, so they can be restored. Payment details never reach us (see Purchases).
• On-device only (never leaves your phone unless you sign in): all learning progress, settings, and reading-aid preferences.

We do not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or any data for advertising. The app does not request microphone or photo access. KanjiMaster contains no ads and no analytics or tracking SDKs, and we never sell your data.

Purchases

All learning content in KanjiMaster is free. The app offers optional in-app purchases — a one-time Supporter Pack and omamori streak charms — as a way to say thanks; nothing you need to learn is sold. Payments are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and record which items your account owns, so they can be restored (Store → Restore purchases). Purchase records are kept by the App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat so paid items stay restorable (see Data retention).

AI features

AI-powered features (such as a tutor or custom stories) are not active in this version. Before any feature that sends your questions or content to an AI service provider is released, this policy will be updated.

How it's used & shared

Data is used solely to run the app's features (lessons, progress sync, friends, purchases, bug fixing). We use Google Firebase / Google Cloud (authentication, database, servers) and RevenueCat (purchase validation) as service providers; they process this data on our behalf. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. All network traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings (⚙︎) → Account → Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your synced learning progress, friend connections, bug reports linked to your account, and your sign-in account itself. KanaMaster and KanjiMaster use the same account — deleting it deletes your sign-in for both apps. You can also request deletion by email (below); we handle email requests within 7 days. Data retention

Account and progress data is kept while your account exists and is removed when you delete your account. Purchase/entitlement records are retained by the app stores and RevenueCat as required so paid items remain restorable; they contain no profile data. Anonymous per-install counters (not linked to any account) and anonymous aggregate statistics (counts with no link to you) may be retained.

Children

KanjiMaster is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

KanjiMaster（漢字マスター）は、レッスン・物語・練習ゲームで漢字・語彙・文法を学ぶアプリです。 サインインしなくても学習でき、その場合の学習進捗は端末内に保存されます。端末間のバックアップやフレンドなどの 一部機能はサインインが必要です。

取得する情報

• 匿名の端末アカウント（自動）：バグ報告などの端末単位の機能のため、匿名の Firebase アカウントと インストールごとのランダムな端末IDを自動で作成します。氏名やメールアドレスは含みません。
• サインイン（任意：メール・Apple・Google）：アカウントの識別子、メールアドレス、あなたが入力する表示名。
• 学習の進捗（サインイン時）：レッスン・復習の成績、復習（SRS）のスケジュール、連続記録、クエストや アプリ内通貨の集計、実績、見た目の設定、練習で作った文（作文の下書き）、匿名の端末IDをサーバーに同期し、 バックアップと端末間の引き継ぎに使用します。
• フレンド（任意）：フレンドコードでのみ追加できます。フレンドには表示名・レベル・連続記録・週間の 稽古ポイントが表示されます。メッセージ機能や公開ランキングはありません。
• バグ報告（任意・サインイン不要）：送信した場合、メモ、カテゴリ、技術情報（端末の機種・OS・画面情報、 アプリのバージョン、表示中の画面、最近のエラー、端末ID。サインイン時のみメールアドレス）を受け取ります。 不具合の修正にのみ使用します。
• 購入（任意）：サポーターパックやお守りを購入した場合、復元のために、アカウントまたは端末が所有する アイテムの記録を受け取ります。支払い情報が当社に届くことはありません（下記「購入」参照）。
• 端末内のみ：サインインしない場合、学習進捗と設定はすべて端末内に保存されます。

位置情報・連絡先・広告IDは取得しません。マイクや写真へのアクセスも求めません。広告、分析・ トラッキングSDKはなく、データを販売することはありません。

購入

KanjiMaster の学習コンテンツはすべて無料です。感謝の気持ちを示す任意のアプリ内課金として、 買い切りのサポーターパックと、連続記録を守るお守りがあります。学習に必要なものは販売していません。決済は App Store / Google Play がすべて処理し、当社が支払い情報を見ることはありません。購入の確認と記録（復元のため： ストア → Restore purchases）に RevenueCat を利用します。購入記録は、購入アイテムを復元できるよう App Store / Google Play / RevenueCat が保持します （アカウント削除後も保持されますが、個人プロフィールは含みません）。

AI機能

AIを使った機能（チューター、カスタム物語など）はこのバージョンでは有効になっていません。 質問や内容をAIサービスに送信する機能を公開する前に、本ポリシーを更新します。

利用と共有

取得した情報はアプリ機能の提供のみに使用します。Google Firebase / Google Cloud（認証・データベース・サーバー）と RevenueCat（購入確認）を利用します（各社は当社に代わって処理します）。データの販売や広告目的での共有は行いません。通信はすべて暗号化されます（HTTPS）。

アカウントの削除

アプリ内の 設定（⚙︎）→ Account → Delete account で「DELETE」と入力すると、いつでも削除できます。 同期された学習進捗・フレンド・アカウントに紐づくバグ報告とサインインアカウントが完全に削除されます。 KanaMaster と KanjiMaster は同じアカウントを使用しているため、両方のアプリのサインインが削除されます。 メールでの削除依頼も可能です（7日以内に対応）。
